Informações básicas

 

O propósito de MEDICC Review é divulgar as políticas, pesquisas, programas e resultados da saúde pública e medicina cubanas, para enriquecer o diálogo, o debate e a prática globais encaminhados a alcançar uma atenção médica de qualidade para todos. Fundada em 1999, MEDICC Review é a única revista do seu tipo em língua inglesa. Publica matérias originais sobre pesquisas médicas e de saúde, de autoria de cientistas cubanos, análises do desenvolvimento dessa área no país, e reportagens sobre a saúde pública cubana e a colaboração internacional nessa esfera. MEDICC Review também divulga trabalhos de pesquisadores, acadêmicos e profissionais das ciências médicas de outros países, dando prioridade a textos que possam contribuir a garantir equidade na saúde, cobertura universal e qualidade no atendimento médico com poucos recursos ou para a população carente.

O título abreviado do periódico é MEDICC rev., que deve ser usado em bibliografias, notas de rodapé, referências e legendas bibliográficas.
