It was studied the incidence and the degree of under nutrition in infants and children from low social levels, in order to implant a program of alimentar assistence and education in the city of Londrina, Paraná (Brazil). The highest percentage of undernourished children was found among the scholars. It was verified the direct relationship between undernutrition and poor scholarity.
