Abstract

The present study was aimed at describing some general aspects of the globalization as a world phenomenon; it explained the present state of this process on the basis of the identification of its dimensions and repercussions on the public health. It mentioned that globalization is an immediate and intermediate determinant of the health condition of the people, its negative aspects on health and how the globalization of basic principles such as solidarity and international cooperation can help in finding alternatives to reduce the negative effects of this world phenomenon on the population health.
