This article focuses on The Institutional Program on Health and Environment, proposed by the Vice-Presidence of Environment, Communication and Information of The Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz). A basic assumption adopted by the authors is that interdiscipliarity is the effective approach to deal with health and environment issues within Fiocruz Campi, providing attention also to specificities of disciplines such as: biosafety, ecology, sanitation, and sustainable development.
